Observations of the One

Experiencing the Truth
Copyright © Grant Lawrence (2004)

Words are a part of the Truth, but they are not the whole Truth. Instead, we need to know that the Truth is the here and now, all around, and not separate from anything. It is not found completely in this or that person, or this or that structure, but rather the Truth is Life -- our unity of being.

To know Life we have to experience it, to know the Truth we have to experience it, to know our shared existence we have to experience it. At all times, we are in Life, Truth, and the One (they are not separate and there is no separation), but we have to unblock our awareness to understand it and to have the joy of it. In order to "unblock our awareness", things likely have to be shaken up for us once in awhile. Suffering shakes us deeply but we can use the suffering that we experience as a way to greater being or higher consciousness. But, in order to come to this greater understanding we must let suffering show us that All beings know it. When we identify with the suffering of others then we come to identify with our shared existence. We can let suffering "shake us up" into the realization of Oneness, the realization of Truth, but we have to stop blocking our awareness of it.
