Observations of the One

In One

How long do we maintain a certain lifestyle or even certain attitudes, even though they causes us great suffering? Why do we continue to live in this way?

Well, the unhelpful ways we maintain must in some way meet our needs, consciously or unconsciously. There is the dark side that breaks through and demands a place in our lives. When we are unconscious of its power or seek to ignore it then it will find its way, usually with unhelpful consequences.

For most of us, we choose a limited form of existence called separateness or "ego" but there is the expansive and the higher and that way is found in Oneness. Our beingness cannot be separated but exists in relatedness and interdependence. But in selfish grasping and desires, we promote our separateness or ego as the "Lord" of existence and momentarily it paints an illusion allowing us some form of relief. However, our conflicts and stress can be limited in a more helpful way from an understanding of our true "selfless" nature in which we are all of the ONE. This way seeks to bring our lives (the physical, mental, and spiritual) into harmony and balance with what is. The "ego" serves its purpose but it is only a limited purpose and there is so much more for us.
